This beetle has bright white stripes.
There is a pale form called Calomela pallida (to answer Leuba's question).
I saw one in Queensland with pale stripes is probably going to be re-named. Calomela pallida is even more pallid and illustrated here This raises a question over the images on the Brisbane insect website images, which he called pallida .

Don't know why this is called "pallida" when it has such a pretty brilliant colour. A little beauty.
