Spotting

Description:

About 3 inches tall. White stalk, white underside, light brown/tan top. Mostly flat. Top is slimy with a pitted texture. After a couple of days of rain, the top opened further and started to curl up like a cup and was holding a small puddle of water.

Looks like an Xerula species to me. Could well be something else.
