Description:

A striking black-and-white bird with very long, thin red legs, the Black-necked Stilt is found along the edges of shallow water in open country. This large shorebird has a black face, hind neck, and back with a white throat and underparts. It has a long, thin, straight black bill.

I agree NewYorker. Usually I only see 1-3, but on this trip every pond seemed to have them. A real treat :)
