A large black spider approximately 3" across.
Found in a building near a creek.

Hello Beth ..This is a Wolf Spider belonging to Family Lycosidae.The sac like structure below the abdomen is the egg sac .... these Female lycosids carry their egg sacs by means of their spinnerets.
