Hello Tic, This is a lovely contribution and spotting! However, it's colouring is normal for the species. I have removed it from the Rare Colour Morph mission. Thank you and happy spotting!

Tabanus partitus Walker, 1856, is a part of the Tabanus striatus complex, and it showed that 3 species have been confused under the Tabanus striatus name: the true Tabanus striatus from Pakistan through India and Sri Lanka to China; Tabanus partitus Walker, 1856, in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Micronesia; and Tabanus triceps Thunberg, from Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan. - http://tabanidae.lifedesks.org/node/176, http://biostor.org/reference/75638.
