This hawk was hit by a car and as a result his wing was broken. It is at VINS rehab center. Due to the extent of its injury it may need to remain at VINS

VINS does take hawks from other states for rehab.

No idea why it would be in Vermont, but this really looks like a ferruginous hawk. Overall light bird, red on the shoulders, light tail, and gape extending far back on the face. No idea what else it would be!
