Nice spotting. This is one of the more popular ornamental species of heliconia that people use in their garden's here in Costa Jack. You should check ou the link I provided from the Heliconia Society of Puerto Rico. They have 5 pages of photos and gens/species names of the most common heliconia. Since you live here you will encounter many species growing wild. This will help you to become better acquainted with them. They are related to the bananas and gingers.
