Haliaeetus leucocephalus
The two eaglets in this nest are now 10-1/2 weeks old and soon will become fledglings. They have ventured to a branch just beyond the nest and are "jump/flying" back into the nest.
This nest is in a tall pine tree along the banks of the Shark River (Jersey Shore).

Love it!! Great series!
Amazing so so cool
Thank you Caroline.
Wow cool awesome pic
Thank you Maria. An unobstructed view is hard to obtain, but at 10-1/2 weeks they've now ventured just outside the nest and there is a very small "window".
There is no vegetation in front of the bird and the whole bird is more clearly seen in that photo; that is why I made the suggestion. The other shots are very nice, too!
Thank you.
Maria, I changed the order as you suggested. Curious, though, what would make that particular shot more viewable? Your feedback is appreciated.
Very nice series... Beautiful pictures
Very nice spotting! You might want to consider putting the last photo first as you may get more views that way.
