Yellowish Pipit

Anthus lutescens

Description:

Slender bird with upperparts streaked buff and brown. Small eyering and underparts yellowish and on breast streaked yellowish with brown. Blackish tail with outer feathers white. Bill thin with upper mandible dusky and and lower mandible paler.

Habitat:

Caatinga near a river

Notes:

This bird was singing on the ground and from time to time it flew up and down and then sang again

I have serched and in this region it can only be Anthus lutescens!!

Thank you Ashley, it is a geat help knowing that there are only 5 species of Pipit in Brazil! I will try to figure it out which one is it =)

I think it's a type of Pipit (there are 5 species in Brazil), but not sure which one. Great shots!
