Columba livia domestica
A Columba livia sitting on a Homo sapiens. This C. livia is a resident of Venice, and unique among the generic pigeons of the world for its love of sitting on people and not soiling them

Thanks Karen, i definitely will
Very nice! You might like to consider adding this to the Global Urban Biodiversity mission http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/3501...
Thanks for the heads up. Though i gotta say, that rule does a disservice to project noah's mission
Your pictures of human faces have been removed as they contravene our Terms http://www.projectnoah.org/terms and FAQs http://www.projectnoah.org/faq
Your bird is Columba livia domestica and has quite different plumage from the truly wild Columba livia livia.
Please also note that Columba livia domestica is not native to Venice it is an introduced domesticated species from its native range on the rocky cliffs of NW, W & S Europe and N Africa.
