Red water lily does not fit to this spotting because there were no brown leaves as red water lily has. Tina your suggestion fits perfectly with the colors of the flower so I will do some more research and I guess go on with that.

One more investigation possibility for you: Nymphaea alba f. rosea.
It exist in the area of Ulstrup Langsø in Denmark! A quite rare hybrid of the white water lily.
