Pseudacris crucifer crucifer
Spring peepers are tan or brown with a dark cross that roughly forms an X on their dorsa (thus the Latin name crucifer, meaning cross-bearer.) They have a very high pitched call. When multiple peepers are calling together it sounds similar to sleigh bells.

Thanks, I used to live by a large group of them. It was so loud but I love their sound. :-)
