Argynnis hyperbius
is butterfly of the Nymphalid family . The male , shown here - is quite similar to the common leopard butterfly ( with wings extended ) The upperside of the male is rich orange-yellow on the fore wing, with the hind wing a paler yellow, followed on by black markings.
