Vulturine Guineafowl

Acryllium vulturinum

Description:

A tall and elegant guineafowl with a long pointed tail, a bare blue-grey head and neck with a bristly russet hind-cap, and a bright cobalt-blue breast covered by long lanceolate black and white feathers.

Habitat:

Semi-arid bush land.

Many of the places you have visited remain on my bucket list...now if only we would get back our travel freedom...till then PN remains such an escape. The silvery-cheeked hornbill of your was so awesome..I googled it. learnt about a new species and without stirring from the desk. Thank you, Mel for the hornbill and all the lovely photos you have shared..

Thanks Sukanya. I am very lucky to have been taken to some great places. Now that I am retired, I am enjoying posting from past trips. (Have to admit to 'itchy feet' though)
