Olive Leaf Fig

Ficus oleifolia

Description:

The olive leaf fig is named for the leaves which resemble olive leaves. However, this common fig species is highly variable with many different morphs. This morph that I found have rounded thick leaves instead. It grows as a short shrub or small epiphyte usually less than 1m tall. Fruits are smooth and hard, about 1cm in diameter.

Habitat:

Growing on the forest floor in the montane rainforest of Sabah.

Notes:

This is another form which have flatter pointed leaves: https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/20...
