Description:

Small, plump birds with relatively thick bills. The male (first photo) is darker than the female.

Habitat:

Hotel grounds by the shore of Loch Lomond, Scotland.

Notes:

It was a joy to see a flock of these birds; somehow these seemed to be more vividly coloured than the ones I see back in India.
