Larus canus
These gulls and particularly their babies were receiving a lot of attention by birdwatchers and they were very well mimetized in the grass at quite some distance from us. I tried to get closer but the sea gull adults started to get very agitated so I stayed at a fair distance (hence, low quality images).
Iona grassland between Iona Abbey and the shore.

These to me lok like common gulls Marta, which ironically are anything but!! did they have yellow legs and look like a Herring gull but smaller?
