African Pied Hornbill

Lophoceros (syn Tockus) fasciatus

Description:

Medium sized - approx 50 cm in length - black forest hornbill, with a white or whitish belly, and a pale yellow bill with dark tip.

Habitat:

Seen in canopy of primary Congo forest in Maniema province - during that river trip, we saw these quite often - unfortunately rather from far away...

Notes:

Possibly the first-time spotting on NOAH
