American Bumblebee

Bombus pensylvanicus

Description:

Black and yellow with white wings.

Habitat:

Sandy ground in the woods.

Notes:

These ones had quite an extensive nest in the ground. I found a space out of their way and watched them for a while. This one stuck their head in a hole and was digging it out. Caught them resting.
