Avispa Ichneumonidae

Description:

Black wasp, with metallic blue wings. Most characteristic feature: very long ovipositor, at least twice the body length. It had long antennae with white stripes.
It has about 3 or 4 cm long.

Habitat:

Tepual forest near the sea, Parque Nacional Chiloé, sector Cucao.

Notes:

There were a pair of wasps, one with the larger ovipositor (in the picture), they showed up together and left together.
