Lady jay, an education bird at the wild center, was taken from the wild as a chick and raised on an improper diet. She was takes from the house and found a home at the center. She has metabolic bone disease because f her imbalanced diet at an early age.

I've known to many people who think they can take wild birds from their parents and still have them be okay. this is unfortunate the only time taking a bird out of the wild is okay is if people interfere and the bird needs to be rehabbed.
