Notes:

The lizard in my picture is one of the more common lizards in Lafayette, its called the green anole lizard. lizards are reptiles, they come from the Animalia Kingdom, with a Subkingdom from Bilateria, and an Infrakingdom from Deuterostomia. they're Phylum is Chordata, they're Subphylum is Vertebrata, and they're Infrakphylum is Gnathostomata. they have a Superclass of Tetrapoda, and they're Class is Reptilla. Order is squamata, and Suborders are Amphisbaenia, Autarchoglossa, Gekkota, Iguanias, and Serpentes. lizards are cornivores, so they eat meat. Lizards diets normally consist of spiders, ants, termites, small mammals, other lizards, snails. Some lizards are omnivores which means they eat vegetation and meat. They're is also lizards who are herbivores, which mean they only eat plants. while most lizards lay eggs, some lizards do not lay eggs and birth live young. Lizards are normally small animals, but depending on what type of lizard it is, it can be up to 10 feet long. Lizards can be found in many colors, because they tend to change they're colors to the habitat they are around for safety reasons, lizards are also able to detach they're tells to help them escape from they're enemies. There are over 4,675 species of lizards, but some sources say there are over 6,000.
