Green with brown and black spots. Brown and yellow eyes. Light yellow throughout the body. It also comes in practically reverse colors with the base being brown—the same eyes.
Swampy pond that gets cut off from the lake at this time of year.
These little frogs are everywhere here. I had the pleasure to watch this one cleaning and relaxing. From the research I've come across they are in decline due to habitat destruction and invasive species eating them. For a while, they were over-hunted for frog legs when people over-hunted the Bullfrogs.
