It's local name means, Little horse of the woods.

Habitat:

Tepual forest near the sea, Parque Nacional Chiloé, sector Cucao.
This particular one, was found on a “Nalca” plant, seen on the background.

Notes:

Este gorgojo lo conocía con el nombre de vaquita, o burrito, pero resulta que esos son otros gorgojos.

this weevil belongs to the species Aegorhinus opaculus ... does not correspond to Aegorhinus vitulus
