Bombycilla cedrorum

Description:

"Highly social birds, they flock together year round as they forage for food in their favorite haunts" according to the Adirondack Almanac. Waxwing got its names due to its waxy looking wing. It is usually brown, grey and yellow, it is medium sized.

Habitat:

Preferred habitat consists of trees at the edge of wooded areas, or "open" forests, especially those that provide access to berry sources as well as water
