Sciurus carolinensis
Baby Black Squirrels -- they made a nest on a balcony behind some stored boxes. Their nest is safely tucked away in a corner, and they are not bothered by anybody. Tiny, fur-less with a mouse-like tail. As adults, they are large and have a bushy tail.
Found throughout Canada & USA -- they are quite adaptable and common.
The black squirrel is a melanistic subgroup of the eastern grey squirrel.
