Ganoderma lucidum

Description:

The top looked like it had been coated in caramel, and the underside had little holes instead of gills. It was about 5"-7" across.

Habitat:

Growing out of the side of an oak tree along a park path.

Notes:

Also known as Reishi or Lingzhi mushroom.
