Description:

White/tan and brown areas of mold-like growth. Dry and crusty in appearance. Older parts are dark and somewhat dusty looking. Probable spore-bearing stage.

Habitat:

Suburban yard, in the grass in a location where a tree used to stand.

There used to be a tree on this location which was cut down a few years ago. Strange things periodically grow in the lawn here. :)
