Orthomeria kangi
The smaller of the few Orthomeria species I have come across, the males are just around 3 cm in size. He is all black in color, including the eyes with bright red wing cover. Males have full wings and are good flyer. Orthomeria are from the subfamily of Aschiphasmatinae which has a defensive mechanism, they can spray chemicals with foul smell from 2 glands behind their head.
Found exclusively on 2 types of tree, one is a type of Ficus, not sure the name of plant of the second. This specie is most likely endemic to Philippines.
