Description:

About 40mm wide; pileus domed with slight umbo, dark orange to black at centre; stip plain, slightly fibrous, straight, white; gills cream-white, detached, indications of black spore at margin?

Habitat:

In low grass under a large pinus radiata in suburban laneway.

Notes:

Refused to bruise... not happy with ID.

Psilocybe subaeruginosa Cleland is an extremely potent psychedelic mushroom of Australasia, which has psilocybin and psilocin as its main active compounds.
