Eurycnema goliath
The Goliath Stick Insect is one of Australia's largest phasmids. It is green with some yellowish patches on the head, thorax and legs. The wings are green with red markings on the underside. underneath. They grow to 25cm. Females (pictured she laid eggs) are much larger than males.

This was an old lady at the end of her life. As they edge their limbs loose strength (note yellowing) and they fall from trees. I keep this girl going by providing fresh leaves daily and she was observed by many students in our school library.
