Description:

Flower of a vine species.

Notes:

This flower is about 15 cm wide, it opens at approximately 4 pm and whiter 6 pm - or 4 am and whiter 6 am. It has a faint powdery smell. Short lived but lovely!

Hi Jessica.Yes I hazarded a guess as I saw it for so many years as a child.But maybe it isn't indigenous to here. People would cut the grass and it always kept coming back but then it disappeared and I never saw it again.... I like the idea of spreading biodiversity throughout Trinidad, so try to pass along plants throughout my family.

Hello nandita, I grew it from seeds. Im from Trinidad. Not sure if it indigenous to Trinidad though.

Definitely moonflower as I used to see them growing wild in my neighbourhood, but the blooms were much bigger. I haven't seen them for many years though.....I think it's indigenous to Trinidad and would love to reintroduce it to my neighbourhood.Do you have any idea how that person procured a plant/seedling?
