Description:

Adult beetles feed extensively on the leaves, flowers and fruits.They bore into roots, stem and also fruits which lie on ground.

Notes:

Found this one on the Night flowering jasmine(Nyctanthes arbor-tristis) shrub in my yard.

Think it is a Red pumpkin beetle or cucumber beetle- PN spottings http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/784... http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/114...

....only mine looks more like Aulakophora foveicollis.
