Red-tailed Hawk

Buteo jamaicensis

Description:

This is the same hawk seen from back (with sun behind me) and then front (sun behind bird).

Habitat:

Spotted on utility pole #43 near an uncultivated area next to a mining operation in Kennesaw, GA

Notes:

I have a lot of hawk sightings in this particular location and I'm not sure how many times I am seeing the same bird or birds.
