Coral Fungus

Artomyces pyxidatus

Description:

Artomyces pyxidatus has been found to have genetically different types in different locations, one distinct type being in Northeastern North America. This may in the future prove that this species is rather a complex of a handful of species which have retained the ancestral ability to interbreed.
