Large Wireworm

Orthostethus infuscatus

Description:

The large wireworm is the larva of a click beetle, it feeds on decaying wood. This specimen was lively and determined to escape undocumented, continually attempting to burrow into the ground, and when nudged would flop about violently, as a fish out of water.
