Struthidea cinerea
About a foot long, these birds had a dusty grey body, black tail and a strong black bill. Wing feathers were brown.
Spotted in flocks of about 10 to 12 at a camp site - dry open forest. these birds are found in the eastern part of Australia.
Endearing little birds -they were a delight to watch !. They are often seen in association with White-winged Choughs, which was the case in the camp site.
They chattered constantly and were not perturbed by our presence, walking around the camp site looking for food. They have a varied diet of seeds, insects and small invertebrates.
Also known as Grey Jumpers
Family: Corcoracidae
