I totally forgot I've found Cantharellus subalbidus myself. So here you can see it has no real gills: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/127.... Try and compare to the link I've sent you earlier!

That is why I could not ID it originally. Guess I best not eat it. Only kidding. I will review the link you provided. Thanks to both of you. ID is tough. I appreciate all the help I can get. Doreen

Hi, I'm not so sure about the id. Cantharellus has no real gills, these mushrooms do. I'd go for Ampulloclitocybe (Clitocybe) clavipes, or some othere Clitocybe species!
