Red-winged Blackbird

Description:

I found this male as I was walking towards a heron rookery. I heard the familiar call right beside me. I whirled around and there he was, sitting in a tree just three feet away. I snapped a few pictures and then continued on to the heron rookery.

Habitat:

I found this male perched on a tree in a marsh.
