Fun fact! A North American porcupine can have more than 30,000 needle sharp quills, which have barbed ends that make them difficult to remove when embedded in another animal’s skin. The quills usually lie flat unless it feels threatened, when it raises them as a deterrent to would-be predators. Although porcupines cannot shoot their quills at predators as once thought, they do detach easily when touched. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=...
