Yellow Pitcher Plant

Sarracenia flava

Description:

Modified leaves shaped into tubes that have a liquid in them that attracts insects, which the plant then eats. Flowers are yellow and hang upside down.

Habitat:

In a bog (sandy/muddy soil that is always wet) with full sun surrounded by oak forest.
