Jelly Ear

Auricularia auricula-judae

Description:

Auricularia auricula-judae is commonly known as Judas’s ear fungus, stemming from the belief that Judas Iscariot hanged himself from an elder tree, the fungi’s most common host. This fungus is widely used in Chinese cuisine, and has proven antitumor, hypoglycemic, anticoagulant and cholesterol-lowering properties.
