Cross Spider, Garden Spider

Araneus diadematus

Description:

Really hairy looking spider with white spots on its back in the shape of a cross. Legs are striped and hairy.

Habitat:

We accidentally ruined the web this spider was making in the blackberry bushes beside the trail by Brydon Lagoon, Langley, BC. Pacific Westcoast.

Notes:

Just love the pattern on the back of this spider. Thanks for the help with the ID jellis.
