Leaf-Rolling Weevil

Description:

Tiny fragile little Leaf Rolling Weevil, pale brown elytra with darker markings. Only 5 mm in length. The antennae are not elbowed and as you would expect in a Leaf Roller, the tarsi are complicated little tools (see last picture). Family Attelabidae.

Habitat:

Found on a wall under lights at night, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.
