Green June Beetle, June Bug

Description:

-- This June Bug was climbing on bird netting surrounding the garden; the time was around sunset. --The adult is usually 15–22 mm (0.59–0.87 in) long with dull, metallic green wings; its sides are gold and the head, legs and underside are very bright shiny green.

Habitat:

-- This beetle occurs in the eastern United States. Their habitat extends from Maine to Georgia, and as far west as Kansas

Notes:

-- This Green June Beetle (June Bug) was observed climbing in a garden in Huntsville, Alabama around the time of sunset.
