I think it is Tephromela atra but I could be wrong. Lichen is a composite organism made up of Fungi and Algae or Cyanobacteria.

Hi Malcolm, I think Tephromela all have black apothecia. Maybe Lecanora or Ochrolechia.. A few have come up that looked promising such as Ochrolechia parella, Lecanora carpinea, and other Lecanora species.
