Razor-backed Musk Turtle

Sternotherus carinatus

Description:

Domed shell with a keel. Caught this guy on my hook while fishing. I don't fish with a barbed hook so I got him off it really easily :)

Habitat:

Caught in a creek about 10 ft deep, heavily forested with mostly oak trees on either side of the creek.
