Description:

Yellow Moth with interesting markings in blue and black. About 2 cm long. Called the Hieroglyphic Moth for its sharply defined and unique pattern. It is the only species in the Subfamily Diphtherinae, Family Nolidae. See also these spottings from San Luis Potosí and Chiapas, Mexico.

Habitat:

Sitting on the foliage in bright sunlight. Forest above Mazunte Beach, Oaxaca, Mexico.
