Loxigilla noctis

Description:

I was taken how clever this little bird was. having pecked at a damp sugar sachet, when couldn't peck more, she threw it off the fence to spill the contents - sorted! Males are black with a red throat and vent, and females (as here) are buff and grey with rust on the wings and vent.

Habitat:

Outside cafe area.
