Spotting

Description:

This mushroom was small and short. The diameter of the cap was approx. 2 in.

Habitat:

The surrounding area was not very moist. The closest water source was a small canal. The sand beneath it was dry. The trees around it were types of oak and possibly some maples (helicopter seeds).

Notes:

This was the only one I could find. I was suprised to find it in such a dry habitat.
